Woolwerx is an artisanal wool studio with a difference. We are a social enterprise created by the Elizabeth Fry Society of Greater Vancouver, which provides training and employment to women transitioning out of the legal system, homelessness and substance use challenges.
Woolwerx employees receive training in all aspects of the enterprise, learning transferable job skills while earning a living wage, maintaining EFry's commitment to supporting women in building sustainable lives for themselves.
Located in New Westminster, Woolwerx is based on a unique concept. We take donated wool from sheep farms in BC (which they would otherwise dispose of as a waste product) and transform it into hand processed wools, yarns, hand felted dryer balls, and our newest product, a sustainable 100% wool fertilizer, Wonder Wool Pellets, making us a 100% waste-free business.
Woolwerx is pleased to offer a selection of our handmade products through our Etsy shop. Each purchase helps support bright futures for women in our communities. If you live in the Greater Vancouver area and would like place an order, or find out more about our program, contact us at 604.785.9965 or email us at woolwerx@efry.com.

We offer a full line of handspun yarn, hand felted dryer balls, our sustainable 100% wool fertilizer, Wonder Wool Pellets, carded batts of various local breeds, and batts and rolags featuring beautiful colour combinations and textures for fibre enthusiasts to spin themselves.
